Welcome to the unofficial baking club at Tumblr. We love to bake cookies, cakes, breads, scones--if it's a baked good, we're interested.

Here's how things work: Each month I'll pick a couple of recipes, post them with some deadlines, and as you bake them, you submit your post with your photos of the endeavor and your opinion on the recipe, as well as general thoughts on the experience.

If this sounds fun to you then join our baking club by following on Tumblr. If you are not a Tumblr user you can still be a member--I don't think submitting your post necessitates having an account, though please do let me know if you have any issues.

Welcome!

Dear bakers,

I’m so glad you are joining me on this presumably wacky baking adventure.

Just so we’re clear, I’m not Fanny Farmer/Martha Stewart/Julia Child. I’m just a regular woman who enjoys cooking and baking, amongst many other things in this busy life. I often burn cookies, and currently I don’t even own a bundt pan. So, I don’t think we can get more no-pressure than that, right?

I’m starting this baking club because I’m interested in being part of a community of bakers. Even if it ends up just being 3 of us. I want to make the same recipes as a group, and then compare notes!

I want to always bake, and hopefully get better along the way. I also want to keep my husband in delicious treats that are homemade and not store bought as much as possible!

Okay, I’m getting really excited, so I hope you are too.
